Today, Christine Kelly one of the nations leading Animal Rights Attorney, sent a 8 page Cease and Desist Letter to OC Animal Care and OC Animal Care Shelter Director Mike Kaviani.
In in a joint collaborative collective community effort led by long time established OC based Rescues and long time established OC Community Residents, Christine Kelly is representing, the rescues known as Paw Protectors Rescue, Meowz Cat Rescue, Dream Animal Rescue, Ollie’s Pack Rescue and Transport, Christine is also representing these individuals, Sharon Logan, a OC resident of 18 years, Cheri Anderson, a OC resident of 42 years, Carol Barnes, a OC resident of 59 years, Jonni Ben, a OC resident of 46 years. Dani Ryan, a OC resident of 30 years and Kevin Patton, a OC Resident of 21 years.
When the new OC Animal Care Shelter was built many of us in Orange County visited the day of the grand opening and were hopeful.
But now we are left questioning and wondering about Mike Kaviani’s leadership, oversight and about what is really going on behind closed doors and out of the publics eye at OC Animal Care.
Paw Protectors Rescue cautions and warns the general public and the residents and citizens of Orange County to not believe everything you hear being put out on the internet by OC Animal Care, especially regarding the statistics put out by OC Animal Care regarding their mid year report, regarding their live release rates and shelter dog bites, the statistics put out by OC Animal Care are dishonest and false.
Paw Protectors Rescue cautions and warns the general public and the residents and citizens of Orange County to not believe everything you hear being put out by OC Animal Care on the internet regarding the everything is Rosy, All is Well, We are making great progress and progressive steps at OC Animal Care.
The Cease and Desist Letter was also sent out individually to every member of the Orange County Board of Supervisors, Orange County Counsel, every Anaheim Council Member, every Santa Ana Council Member.
The cease and desist letter also addresses violations of the Hayden Act, State, County and City Laws and possible Civil Rights Violations, perpetuated by OC Animal Care Shelter Director Mike Kaviani and Assistant Shelter Director Kristine Watson.
While Paw Protectors Rescue recognizes it is admirable that rescues are currently actively and avidly rescuing animals out of OC Animal Care, Paw Protectors Rescue has a deeper understanding of what is required to effectuate long term sustainable, viable, real positive changes at OC Animal Care and that will only be achieved actively and avidly through the courts and through litigation!
Will the established OC based rescues and the established constituents of OC that filed this cease and desist allow Dumping Cats For Stats, Violations of the Hayden Act, State, County and City laws being broken, corruption, fraud, bribery and kickbacks continue at OC Animal Care all under the false guise and false premise of Progressive Animal Sheltering?
